Asset Value Source has accredited appraisers with experience in all types of aircraft from the largest commercial aircraft including Boeing and Airbus to the smallest of the various general aviation aircraft.

Support Equipment

All of the various support equipment has special applications associated with this industry including Fixed Based Operators and large repair operations. In addition to the standard equipment is the specialty tooling that is specific to an aircraft or to various engines. This tooling can be for fixed wing aircraft, helicopters or other aviation related products.

Inventories for aviation

There is certain terminology in this area that few may be familiar with. Such things as rotables and expendables may mean one thing to the average person but is entirely different as it relates to aviation. The experience in this area is the very best and the appraisers have been commended for work in this area. The report is of a special nature and contains a different methodology for testing and valuation. In addition, the inventory should be revalued at various stages dependent upon the job. Understanding the condition codes which can vary from one to the other is important. The most common ones used are AR, SV, NS, OH which stands for As Removed, Serviceable, Non Serviceable and Overhauled respectfully. The support documents are very important to maintain value and, in many cases, without them, the inventory is scrap or salvage only.
